Articulate and PowerPoint

Well as you can see, the Articulate and PowerPoint presentation is showing an error loading. I will continue trying to get this to work, since I think it should LOL. If anyone has any suggestions as to why it won't upload, please feel free to post!
Thanks and be back later....

Blogging in General

My experience with blogging began with an earlier class and I soon discovered that I enjoyed it much more than "tweeting". My first blog was designed to review and suggest reading materials for ages middle school through young adult. I included opinions, links to movies and safety information on how to use social networking sites. The link for this blog is http://librariancool.blogspot.com Please visit if you have a chance, and especially if you have middle school or high school children.

I think blogging can be a great tool for a class project or collaboration for teams, however it would need to be moderated by the instructor. Comments and suggestions would be approved and any "factual" statements will need to be validated and cited if necessary. However to allow students to discuss or pop on with an idea any time they have a computer near would be a great motivator for them to work together.

I also think this is an excellent way to motivate students to work, since they all seem to have been born with a phone in one hand and a computer in another. For those students that unfortunately do not have these items available to them, we would ensure the school library is open to them to work on their projects during homeroom or any spare time.

Tech Tools for Staff

This will be our technology help blog .... we will post links, ideas and sites you may want to experiment with and discuss here. We all need to be at ease and comfortable with any type of technology we plan on using for a class so this will assist us in that.

The first site I think is very interesting and we can do so much with it for a class is Second Life. (http://www.secondlife.com/) This virtual world offers athletics, museums, libraries, classes, causes, exercise, religion and more. It does take a while to become accustomed to moving around so I suggest you create your character and go to the training section. If you have any difficulties please post here so we can help you.

More tomorrow!
